What can I put in the bin?

You can place anything in the bin EXCEPT:
FOOD STUFFS, ASBESTOS, TYRES, BATTERIES, LIQUIDS, PAINTS, CHEMICALS AND FLAMMABLE WASTES.

SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS ARE ABLE TO BE MADE FOR THE DISPOSAL OF ASBESTOS - PLEASE CONTACT US FOR MORE DETAILS AND PRICES.

How much can I put in the bin?

• In the interest of public and environmental safety we are not permitted to carry an unsafe load - bins must be safely filled and level with the upper rim, so that they can be tied down and covered.

To get the most out of your bin space - it is recommended that you:

• Place soil and concrete in first with bulkier items on top.
• If possible, allow green waste to wilt down for a day or two - which will take up less space, where feasible branches etc cut down to fit easily inside the bin.
• Place large flat items on top (i.e. timber and iron).

How far ahead do I need to book my bin?

As much notice as possible is preferable if you wish to have the bin delivered at a specific time on a specific date - generally if we are notified first thing in the morning, we can usually have the bin to you either that day or the following day -depending on bin availability.

Payment

Payment methods include; cash, cheque, credit card and direct deposit. (Cheques should be made payable to Port Stephens Bins). Bank details can be obtained by calling our office on 4984 1385.

When is payment required?

Payment is required on or prior to delivery.

Our drivers can accept cash or cheque. If you are unable to be present for delivery and payment of the bin, prior arrangements can be made when booking your bin.

Accounts are available only to licensed builders, tradespeople or registered businesses on approval.
